Matthew 1:17—So all the generations from (the generation of) Abraham to (the generation of) David [are] fourteen generations; and from (the generation of) David until the (generation of the) carrying away into Babylon [are] fourteen generations; and from the (generation of the) carrying away unto Babylon unto (the generation of) Christ [are] fourteen generations.
Starting with King David they were all periods of 70 yrs (70 yrs x 7 Weeks of Feast).
Please take the time to watch these video's. My thinking is perfectly aligned with her thinking except for a couple of things that are irrelevant to what she is saying as a whole. Our days are running short. If you are not saved please go to Jesus with a humble heart and ask Him for forgiveness. It will be the best thing you have ever done!!! God Bless!!!
Thank You Martus Ministry for two more well put together synopsis of today's events that are leading up to tomorrows Good News!!!
Thank you Mr. Snyder, for this informative work!!!
"You are about to read some of the most shocking quotes that Barack Obama has ever uttered in public. A few of these have been widely circulated, but most of them are very obscure."
"Even though he claims to be a Christian, throughout his political career Obama has repeatedly attacked traditional Biblical Christianity and he has a very long history of anti-Christian actions."
"In public speeches he has repeatedly cast doubt on the Bible, he has repeatedly stated that he does not believe that Jesus is necessary for salvation, and he has consistently said that he believes that all “people of faith” believe in the same God."
"At the same time, Obama has always referred to Muhammed as “the Prophet”, he has always expressed great love and respect for Islam, and he has even removed all references to Islam from terror training materials used by federal government agencies."
"So what in the world does “the leader of the free world” actually believe? Read the quotes below and decide for yourself…"

#18 “We’ve seen those results in generations of Muslim immigrants – farmers and factory workers, helping to lay the railroads and build our cities, the Muslim innovators who helped build some of our highest skyscrapers and who helped unlock the secrets of our universe.”
#19 “That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn’t. And I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
#20 “I also know that Islam has always been a part of America’s story.”
20 Quotes By Barack Obama About Christianity
#1 “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation”
#2 “We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.”
#3 “Which passages of scripture should guide our public policy? Should we go with Leviticus, which suggests slavery is OK and that eating shellfish is an abomination? Or we could go with Deuteronomy, which suggests stoning your child if he strays from the faith?”
#4 “Even those who claim the Bible’s inerrancy make distinctions between Scriptural edicts, sensing that some passages – the Ten Commandments, say, or a belief in Christ’s divinity – are central to Christian faith, while others are more culturally specific and may be modified to accommodate modern life.”
#5 “The American people intuitively understand this, which is why the majority of Catholics practice birth control and some of those opposed to gay marriage nevertheless are opposed to a Constitutional amendment to ban it. Religious leadership need not accept such wisdom in counseling their flocks, but they should recognize this wisdom in their politics.”
#6 From Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope: “I am not willing to have the state deny American citizens a civil union that confers equivalent rights on such basic matters as hospital visitation or health insurance coverage simply because the people they love are of the same sex—nor am I willing to accept a reading of the Bible that considers an obscure line in Romans to be more defining of Christianity than the Sermon on the Mount.”
#7 Obama’s response when asked what his definition of sin is: “Being out of alignment with my values.”
#8 “If all it took was someone proclaiming I believe Jesus Christ and that he died for my sins, and that was all there was to it, people wouldn’t have to keep coming to church, would they.”
#9 “This is something that I’m sure I’d have serious debates with my fellow Christians about. I think that the difficult thing about any religion, including Christianity, is that at some level there is a call to evangelize and prostelytize. There’s the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people haven’t embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they’re going to hell.”
#10 “I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I can’t imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity. That’s just not part of my religious makeup.”
#11 “I don’t presume to have knowledge of what happens after I die. But I feel very strongly that whether the reward is in the here and now or in the hereafter, the aligning myself to my faith and my values is a good thing.”
#12 “I’ve said this before, and I know this raises questions in the minds of some evangelicals. I do not believe that my mother, who never formally embraced Christianity as far as I know … I do not believe she went to hell.”
#13 “Those opposed to abortion cannot simply invoke God’s will–they have to explain why abortion violates some principle that is accessible to people of all faiths.”
#14 On his support for civil unions for gay couples: “If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount.”
#15 “You got into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them.
And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.
And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
#16 “In our household, the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology”
#17 “On Easter or Christmas Day, my mother might drag me to church, just as she dragged me to the Buddhist temple, the Chinese New Year celebration, the Shinto shrine, and ancient Hawaiian burial sites.”
#18 “we have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, and their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own”
#19 “All of us have a responsibility to work for the day when the mothers of Israelis and Palestinians can see their children grow up without fear; when the Holy Land of the three great faiths is the place of peace that God intended it to be; when Jerusalem is a secure and lasting home for Jews and Christians and Muslims, and a place for all of the children of Abraham to mingle peacefully together as in the story of Isra — (applause) — as in the story of Isra, when Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, peace be upon them, joined in prayer. (Applause.)”

I hope this article will force common sense to prevail where absolute scripture always fails concerning the pre-trib rapture. There is more danger to believing in a pre-trib rapture than most think. If a person is to believe that Jesus comes before the tribulation then they must accept many other lies constructed to enforce that false belief. The purpose of this commentary will be to show a few examples of how someone has to throw out common sense and embrace irrational arguments to hold to the pre-trib rapture theory. I hope what is said here will bring at least one person to the truth of the matter because when a person trust in the information surrounding the pre-trib rapture they are putting their confidence in a mountain of lies allowing themselves to be deceived.
There are three things a person HAS TO ACCEPT AS TRUTH in order to hold a pre-trib point of view:
The Tribulation Saints are not part of the Church/Bride/Body of Christ
The Tribulation Saints do not participate in the Marriage supper of the Lamb
The Tribulation Saints do not participate at the Bema seat judgment.
If a person is to hold a pre-trib point of view it is imperative to believe that when the rapture happens all those who have died in Christ over the last two thousand years will be resurrected and those who are alive and remain will be caught up with them in the air, go up to heaven, stand before Christ at the Bema seat, and after the crowns are handed out the Bride and the Groom will be married and celebrate at the marriage supper of the Lamb; And while all the “true Christians” are getting rewarded and their bellies full, millions of Johnny come latelys are being martyred.
Those Johnny come latelys are the “Tribulation Saints” and it seems (according to the pre-trib theory) that even though they give their life for Christ they don't rank up there with the “true Christians” because they weren't saved before the rapture. Since they were left behind they are seriously penalized. Unlike all those Martyrs before them they won't be participating in the Bema Judgment, the Wedding, or the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. As far as I know pre-tribbers teach there are two judgments: the Bema seat judgment where the Body/Bride/Church are judged and the Great White Throne Judgment where the wicked is judged. If I'm not mistaken in thinking that then I must ask: when do the “Tribulation Saints” get their rewards if the Bema judgment for Christians happens while they are being killed and the Great White Throne judgment is for the unsaved?
Church Not Mentioned in Most of the book of Revelation?
One of the most unfounded arguments made by pre-tribbers is that the Church is not mentioned in most of Revelation and therefore what is said between chapters four and nineteen referring to the saints is not talking about the Church. The Saints in those chapters are some alienated group of folks (until chapter nineteen then they become the raptured church) who are going to endure great tribulation while us perfect peoples get married, eat a lot, and collect our rewards at the Bema seat judgment. I don't mean to sound disdainful but that is the way it sounds to me when a pre-tribber boast they will be in heaven having supper and living it up while millions of their brothers and sisters are suffering on earth. Honestly, does it seem logical to you that millions of people will die for Christ during the tribulation and they will not be part of the Bride or participate in the marriage supper of the Lamb?
What is a Saint anyway?
“Strong's Concordance” #G40: hagios—adjective: most holy thing, a saint. 'Thayer's Greek Lexicon” gives us a little more insight:(2) SET APART FOR GOD, TO BE, AS IT WERE, EXCLUSIVELY HIS. So this appellation is very often in the N.T. Transferred to Christians, as those whom God has selected, that under the influence of the Holy Spirit they may be rendered, through holiness, PARTAKERS OF SALVATION IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD: http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G40&t=KJV
Eph. 1:1-2—Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, TO THE SAINTSwhich are at Ephesus and TO THE FAITHFUL IN CHRIST Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Eph. 4:10-13—He that descended is the same also that ascended up above all heavens, that he might fulfill all things. And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the PERFECTING OF THE SAINTS, for the work of the ministry, FOR THE EDIFYING OF THE BODY OF CHRIST.
Rev. 14:12—Here is the patience of THE SAINTS; here are THEY THAT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.
In the preceding verses we have the saints referred to as: the faithful in Christ, the body of Christ, and those who keep the commandments of God. Undeniably in the New Testament the saints are people who follow Christ (His body/bride/church); they are the partakers of the kingdom of God. With that in mind I would think it is safe to conclude that throughout Revelation when the word saint is used it means God's people: the Church, but for more edification let's look a little deeper.
The word church is used thirteen times in the Book of Revelation. The first time is in John's greeting and the second time is when Jesus told John to write what he sees in ABook and send IT to the seven churches. Understandably the same message (the Revelation) was to be given to the Christians who attended the brick and mortar churches of Asia. Seven of the times the word churches is used it is to say, “He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” When Jesus says “He who has an ear let him hear” he is talking to individual people telling them that they need to pay attention to what he is saying and those individual’s are you and me. The word church(s) is not used in chapter nineteen but according to pre-tribbers (as I pointed out earlier) the word saints miraculously becomes the church to return triumphantly with Jesus to rule and reign for a thousand years. All instances of the word churches that are in Revelation are in chapters 1, 2, and 3 except for the last time it is used and that is in Rev. 22:16—I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto YOU THESE THINGS IN THE CHURCHES. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
1 Cr. 14:33-FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION, BUT OF PEACE, AS IN ALL CHURCHES OF THE SAINTS.
REV. 2:29—“HE WHO HAS AN EAR LET HIM HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES.”
In conclusion we have established that if a person is a saint (even in the book of Revelation) they are followers of Jesus and common sense tells us that when that person becomes a follower of Jesus it is at that moment they become part of the body, bride, and church of Christ. It doesn't make sense that part of the body of Christ will not be involved with the marriage supper of the Lamb, or that they would not receive their rewards, not to mention resurrected body, along with the rest of the Martyrs from times past. I pray that if you are a pre-trib believer reading this you see the logic and realize that these are just a few of the lies that one must believe in order to protect the idea of a pre-trib rapture.
What you believe about the timing of the rapture has nothing to do with if you are saved or not but that doesn't mean that it isn't important. As a Christian it is your duty to know the truth (study to show yourself approved) and if you believe one lie then you have to believe other lies to substantiate that lie and believe me there are many many lies that are used to back up the pre-trib rapture. Please think about this, there is only one truth; there is either going to be a pre-trib rapture or there's not. Me? I really don't care as long as I know the truth: Amen?
Here is a video by Mark Biltz. He was the man who first noticed the Blood Moons and their patterns. Mr. Biltz thinks a generation is fifty years and I think he believes in the pre-trib rapture; I don't believe either of those things but I do agree with what he says concerning the feasts of the Lord and using God's calendar to discern the times. God Bless!!!

Below is a chart to show the events of the generation of the Babylonian captivity, the generation of Jesus, and the generation of Israel. The chart also shows how the Blood Moons and the Rabbi Judah Samuel's prophecy fits into the seventy year generation. I have done my best to make it understandable: in the top right corner you will find a color key that may help you decipher what it says.
In the Bible there are many people and things that comes in twos and it is usually the second one that turns out to be the best (so to speak): just to name a few people: Adam and Jesus, Ismael and Issac, Esau and Jacob and then when it comes to special events we have the Passover (God saving his people) in Egypt from the judgment on the first born by the blood of the lamb replayed (so to speak) at the Passover when our Christ, the Lamb, died so his blood would cover us when judgment comes again from the Father; we will be Passed over. Then there is the day of Pentecost: fifty days after Moses brought the people out of Egypt they received the law written on stone; fifty days after Jesus was crucified the people received the law written on their hearts when the Holy Spirit entered them. I believe the Babylonian Captivity is the first generation to see the anointed (Cyrus) come to save them and that the generation of Israel will be the second generation to see the anointed (Jesus) come to save them.
In the prophecy of the Babylonian captivity given to Isaiah and Jeremiah there are many details that are similar with the generation of Christ return starting with the titles God gave Cyrus. In Isaiah 45:1 God calls Cyrus His anointed and in Isa 44:28 God refers to him as His shepherd and of course Cyrus held the title of king. All three of these titles are used when the Bible refers to Jesus. The word anointed according to “Strong’s Concordance”H4899 means Messiah and as any student of the prophecy knows Messiah is the very same title Gabriel gave to Jesus in Daniel 9:25 and 26, when he was explaining the seventy weeks. The title shepherd means teacher or ruler (H7462) a title all Christians are familiar with when it comes to the greatest teacher ever known: Jesus Christ. And of course Jesus holds the title of King and when he returns He will finally take His seat in Jerusalem where he will be King forever!!!
There is more than just titles that mirror Cyrus with our Savior there are the things they were to accomplish: Cyrus God’s anointed was to go to Babylon to destroy it and save the people out of it; these same prophecies are given concerning the return of Jesus Christ; He will save His people out of Mystery Babylon and then he will pour out his wrath on the city and all who are left. When that is accomplished all the kingdoms of the world will belong to our Lord and his Christ and he will rule and reign for ever and ever!!! AMEN!!! Could it be the Babylonian captivity and the prophecy concerning Cyrus is a foreshadow of the last generation? Below is some verses that might help you make up your mind.
Cyrus was to be God's instrument of wrath on Babylon just as Jesus will bring forth wrath on Mystery Babylon.
Cyrus—Jer 51:45—My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.
Jesus—Rev 18:4—And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Interestingly Babylon falls twice; once in the Old Testament by Cyrus and again In the New Testament by Jesus. And both times it is mentioned that Babylon has fallen the words "is fallen" is said twice.
Cyrus—Isa 21:9—And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horse men. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Jesus—Rev 14:8—And there followed another angel, saying Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Cyrus was given by God all the kingdoms of the earth to rule and he would rebuild God's temple. Jesus is building the temple even today and when he comes again he will rule and reign over all the kingdoms of the earth: Hallelujah!!!
Cyrus—2 Ch 36:23—Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, all the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
Jesus—Zec 6:12—And speak unto him, saying, thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, behold the man whose name is the BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place and he shall build the temple of the LORD.
Jesus—Rev 11:15—And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.
Can all this be coincidence? Could all the other things the chart shows be coincidence: nineteen years after Daniel's captivity the temple was destroyed, and the people were exile from Jerusalem and then in our generation Israel is born and nineteen years later Jerusalem becomes the possession of the Jews and they inhabit it again after approximately 2550 years (50 Jubilees) from the date of the temple being destroyed? Can it be coincidence that the feasts of tabernacles was the first feast celebrated when the Jews return to Jerusalem and that when Jesus comes we will also keep the feast of Tabernacles? Can it be coincidence that the Blood Moons and Rabbi Samuel's prophecy fit so perfectly into the seventy year generation? I know it's hard to comprehend but I couldn't have made this stuff up if I tried: What an amazing God we have!!!

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled in this generation: Jesus will be arriving soon! Hallelujah!!!
If you have took a pretty good look around my blog you probably understand that I believe we will see Jesus within a seventy year time frame and we will enter the middle of the final seven years somewhere around Shavuot (May June) of 2014. I came to that conclusion through the evidence God has shown me concerning the way he has done things in the past: he has a pattern. I believe my conclusions are valid and there are at least two signs in these last days that line right up with them: the blood moons of 2014 and 2015 and the prophecy of Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel in 1217.
The Prophecy of Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel
Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel in 1217 gave a prophecy saying that the Ottoman Turks would rule over the holy city of Jerusalem for eight Jubilees. A Jubilee is a period of fifty years according to Leviticus 25:8-13. Eight Jubilees would then be four hundred years. Without fail the Rabbi’s prophecy began its fulfillment three hundred years later in 1517 when the Ottoman Turks seized control of the city of Jerusalem and ruled over it for exactly four hundred years ending in the year 1917. Rabbi Judah didn’t stop there he also prophesied that during the ninth Jubilee Jerusalem would be a “no-man’s land.” That was fulfilled when the holy land was placed under British Mandate in 1917 until 1967.
During the time between 1917 and 1967 there was a strip of land in Jerusalem that belonged to no nation and both Israelis and Jordanians called it a “no-man’s land”. In 1967 that all changed when the whole of Jerusalem became property of the Jews. And… that still wasn’t the end of the Rabbi’s prophecy he then told of a tenth Jubilee cycle of fifty years and that in that fifty years Jerusalem would be under the control of the Jews and the Messianic “end times” would begin. The tenth Jubilee began in 1967 and will be concluded in 2017. I don’t know about you but it’s kind of hard for me to ignore the Rabbi’s prophecies and what is more astounding is that the seventy year generation fits right in with Rabbi Judah Ben’s prophecy. Is there really anyway this could all be coincidence? Please Click Here to see a Chart that lines up , Judah Samuel's prophecy, the Blood Moons, the seventy years of the Babylonian captivity, the birth of Jesus until the temple's destruction in 70 AD, and the years since Israel was born until the seventieth year.
Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come (Act 2:20, Rev. 6:12).
In 2014 and 2015 there will be what is called a tetrad of lunar eclipses or otherwise known as Blood Moons. These eclipses will fall on the Jewish feasts days of Passover 4/15/14 and Tabernacles 10/8/14 then again in 2015 on Passover 4/4/15 and Tabernacles 9/28/15.The eclipses falling on the feasts days is very rare and hadn’t happened for five hundred years until just after Israel became a nation. The first time it happened was 1949/50 and then it happened again in 1967/68. The ones that will take place in 2014/15 will be the third time this uncommon occurrence has happened since Israel was born. In both prior cases of the Blood Moons Israel was at war. Could it be that by April of 2014 Israel will be in the beginning of the desolations that will occur until Jesus comes??? According to the seventy year generation time frame that will be the middle of the seven years Daniel speaks of in chapter nine.
The following is a interview with the man who first discovered the Blood Moons of 2014/2015.
There is clear evidence that since the times of Moses God has kept time according to his feasts days that are otherwise called "appointed times". Jesus is coming in the appointed time; just as he died at the appointed time of a feast of Passover he will return at the appointed time of the feast of Tabernacles. Follow the links below and learn how God does things in patterns and that his pattern for a generation is proven to be a period of seventy years. Learn the amazing facts that link the Babylonian captivity to the generation that will see the 2nd coming of Christ.
Back in July of 2012 I published an article concerning a news letter I received from Jack Van Impe. In his news letter he made the statement that the elect in Matthew 24 wasn't the Christians. Here is his actual words:
“Post-tribulationist (those who believe the Church of Jesus Christ will endure the terrible period of the Tribulation) like to use this verse-“Except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:22)-saying this passage proves the Church will remain on earth because we are the “elect.” Nothing could be further from the truth. Many do not realize that God has two elect groups on earth. There is the Church (see Ephesians 1:4, 1 Peter 1:2), but that is not the group referred to in Matthew 24:22. How do I know this? Isaiah 42:1 speaks of the Jews as God’s elect. (Jack Van Impe).”
It seems after exactly a year has past Jack has changed his mind and is now saying the elect in Matthew 24 ARE the Christians. What do we do with that Jack?

The idea that the elect in Matthew 24 is not Christians is one of those things pre-trib people say to back up their belief and now Jack has gone a thrown a wrench in it!
I have many friends who use the NIV Bible and it worries me that they do. There is so much wrong with this translation and it’s clear to see if you look for it. I tried to tell my friends not to use this Bible but they just thought I was crazy. I was even so bold a couple of times to tell them to throw it away. I’m sure they thought I was being quite arrogant but when something strikes me in the heart I can’t help myself. Needless to say I’m sure they are all still using it. Since my efforts were void of fruits maybe someone else will convince them of the dangers surrounding this book and God willing through this message there will be those who will be convinced to stop using the NIV.
The owner of this blog did not create this video and does not claim any rights to it. It is being used for educational purposes only.
The following was added to article on 6/15/13
After making this post I had a friend point out to me that
the two men who recorded the videos (one has been removed) above are NOT good
teachers both have been arrested for one thing or another and are heretics. I
did not know this when I posted them. The reason for posting these videos is
because they explain that there were two Greek translations: one has many
copies and the other was copied only a few times. The video that is still posted is not a gospel teaching but rather a history teaching on the Bible so I felt confident in leaving it posted. My friend also scolded me for
being so harsh about the NIV when I said that it should be thrown away. The
following is a few things I found while researching the NIV a little more that
shows the differences in the two translations and why I reject the NIV on a
personal level and advocate not using it.
I
think it is fine to change the way the Bible is written by changing the
structure of the words. For example just about every time “eth” is used like in
the words maketh and killeth it usually means that there should be an “s” at
the end of the word. However to change the whole arrangement of a passage in my
opinion is dangerous. It is like the dispensationalist teachings: it is so
similar to the true teachings of the Bible that it is hard to tell them apart
but we know that one is the truth and the other is not. We must distinguish the
two and throw the other one out once it is proved contrary in any way.
The
men of the Reformation rejected the very books the NIV is translated from and embraced
what is called “The Majority Text” these are the texts the King James was
translated from. The Majority Text is also called Traditional Text,
Ecclesiastical Text, Constantinopolitan Text, Antiocheian Text, or Syrian Text.
The other texts from which the NIV is translated from is mainly from Roman
descent i.e. the Catholic Church. There are many sources that say these texts
are distorted. If the church father’s that rejected dispensationalism rejected
these writings then shouldn’t we?
My
friend also pointed out an article written by a man named Gary Shogren. In this
writing Mr. Shogren is comparing the NIV to the newer NIV (2011); in this
writing Shogren comments on 1 Cor. 7:36, “The NIV 2011 is fine, but trades one
“possible” meaning for another (Gary Shogren). I believe this is where the NIV falters even
in the old translations. It uses different definitions of a word when it should
be using different words with the same meaning: synonyms. It seems Shogren backs
me up by agreeing that the NIV trades one definition for another. In some cases
this may be fine but is it acceptable to “trade one meaning for
another” in all cases?
When
a word is used in a sentence that word may have several meanings but that does
not mean every definition of that word will fit in a particular sentence. It
has to fit into the context of what has been written. The word fornication
means idol worship in many places of the Bible but we couldn’t use that
definition in 1 Cr. 7:1-2 because of the context (see below); clearly
worshipping idols would not be avoidable by getting married.
Example
#1
1
Cr. 7:1-2 is a good example of the NIV people putting what they wanted to in
place of the word “nevertheless” and it changes the whole context of the two
verses.
(KJV)
1 Cr. 7:1—Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [it is] good for
a man not to touch a woman.
(KJV)
1 Cr. 7:2—Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his
own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
(NIV)
1 Cr. 7:2—But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have
sexual relation with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband.
What
the NIV is saying to me is that “since” (in view of the fact) people are
sinning sexually a man needs to marry a woman and a woman needs to marry a
man. In my way of thinking the NIV is saying something totally different
than the King James; one says to avoid sexual sinning get married and the other
says because sexual sin is occurring get married. Do you see a
difference?
Example
#2
(KJV)
Rev. 6:16—And said to the mountains and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the
face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb.
(KJV)
Rev. 6:17—For the great day of HIS wrath is come; and who shall be able to
stand?
(NIV)
Rev. 6:16—They called to the mountains and the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us
from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb”!
(NIV)
Rev. 6:17—For the great day of THEIR wrath has come, and who can withstand it?”
Is
there any doubt that the wrath belongs to the Lamb and that the word “His”
belongs there. HIS and THEIR are two totally different words: one is plural and
the other is singular. Although they are both definitions for the Greek word autos does
that mean either will fit? Itself, herself, and themselves, are all definitions
of that word why couldn’t we just put her there instead of their?
Angelical
bishop and leading New Testament scholar N. T. Wright (born in1948) says the
NIV translation is certainly not a standalone work to understanding the
teachings of Paul. Wikipedia states “Bishop Wright has been praised by
many scholars of varying views.” And to further his credibility I might add
that he is critical of dispensationalist doctrine of the rapture (Wikipedia). The following is what he has to
say about the NIV in his words:
“When
the New International Version was published in 1980, I was one of those who
hailed it with delight. I believed its own claim about itself, that it was
determined to translate exactly what was there, and inject no extra
paraphrasing or interpretative glosses.... Disillusionment set in over the next
two years, as I lectured verse by verse through several of Paul's letters,
not least Galatians and Romans. Again
and again, with the Greek text in front of me and the NIV beside it, I
discovered that the translators had another principle, considerably higher than
the stated one: to make sure that Paul should say what the broadly Protestant
and evangelical tradition said he said.... [I]f a church only, or
mainly, relies on the NIV it will, quite simply, never understand what Paul was
talking about.”
Example
#3
(KJV)
Rev. 5:9-10—And they sung a new song, saying, thou art worthy to take the book,
and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by
thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and
hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the
earth.
(NIV)
Rev. 5:9-10—And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the
scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you
purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.
You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our
God, and they will reign on the earth.
In
the King James all people are included. In the NIV there is a separation of us
and them. In this case the NIV changes the dynamics of the verse. In the
KJV the living creatures and the elders are singing a song in praise of Jesus
for not only saving them from all nations and tribes but for saving others
also: hast made US unto our God kings and priests and WE shall reign on the earth.
In the NIV it says Jesus has made THEM kings and priests and THEY shall reign
on the earth. It is my belief that at least twelve of the twenty four elders
are the apostles. If that is the case then they would certainly be saying US
and not THEM? This is another case of changing one definition for another when
it doesn’t fit the context. In my opinion it is wrong to do that and I just
feel safer with the KJV.
It
is not that I reject all other Bibles because there are good translations I
just don’t think the NIV is even close to the real thing and I reject it and
all other translations like it. I personally will always stick with the KJV and
urge other to do the same. The NIV changes too much in my opinion and therefore
cancels it out as the true word of God. Considering the examples I’ve given
wouldn’t you agree that God’s word either says: us and we or it says them and
their? I am no scholar but I know that it cannot be both.
William Tyndale was a very brave man who was martyred for the sake of translating the Hebrew and Greek text of the Bible so that all English speaking people could have one. His translations are still used today in the KJV and other Bibles.
This video is a nine minute clip of the movie "God's Outlaw" (Tyndales life). It's worth the few minutes it takes to watch it.
Everything God does he does it with a pattern: He gave King
David a pattern to go by to build the temple and all the things that were to go
therein (Exd 25:9). The human body is made from a pattern: two hands, two legs,
two eyes, and one head. Trees are made from a pattern they all have trunks,
limbs, and leaves; flowers have stems and petals.God follows patterns and He gave the Christians
a pattern to follow: the pattern of Jesus: 1 Ti. 1:16—Howbeit for this cause I
obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all
longsuffering, FOR A PATTERN to them which should hereafter believe on him to
life everlasting; 2 Tts. 2:7—In all things SHOWING THY SELF A PATTERN OF GOOD
WORKS: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity.
There are even patterns in the way God keeps time. He counts
time the same way the Jews do; that is the only way of keeping time in the
Bible, there is no month of July in God’s word only names for Jewish months
(each month being a 29 or 30 day period). God gave the Israelites His calendar
to keep up with the feasts so that they would fall at the very same time of
year. One very significant thing about the feasts was that there was to be a
pattern of seven weeks (49 days) and on the fiftieth day it was to be the feast
of first fruits (Lev. 23:16: today it is called Shavuot and/or Pentecost). Another
pattern God set forth was when He told the Israelites to work the land six
years and in the seventh year it was to be a Sabbath year and they were to let
the land rest: they were to do this seven times seven years and on the fiftieth
year it was to be Jubilee (Lev.25:8; 11): Feast of Weeks 50 days and working
the land 50 years: two more patterns set by God and they concern a particular
keeping of time.
Another thing we must understand about the way God keeps
time is that He uses what is called inclusion time keeping. Here is an example
of what I mean: Jer. 34:14—AT THE END OF SEVEN YEARS LET YE GO EVERY MAN his
brother an Hebrew which hath been sold unto thee; and WHEN HE HATH SERVED THEE
SIX YEARS, THOU SHALT LET HIM GO FREE. Notice God says AT THE END of seven
years let every man go free but then He says, after he hath served thee six
years let him go free; this is inclusion time keeping. God calls it seven years
but it is at the end of the sixth year the Hebrew is set free leaving the whole
seventh year to be a Sabbath where no work of any sort should be done not even
the work of setting a slave free. If you investigate the history of the
Babylonian captivity you will find that God used inclusion time keeping for
that too. He said it would be a period of seventy years and yet the Israelites
were back in Jerusalem at the very beginning of the seventieth year: the tenth
Sabbath year since the beginning of the exile. The exiles returned home at the
end of the sixty ninth year.Am I making
sense?
God used a pattern when He accomplished three very important
things in the history of the Bible: the life of King David, the Babylonian
captivity, and the life of Jesus; all three are listed in one verse: Matthew
1:17:they are all labeled generations
and they are all a period of seventy years. We discussed that God used inclusion
time keeping with the Babylonian captivity now let’s look at the generation of
Jesus. Jesus died at a young age but His generation lasted until the
destruction of the temple in 70 AD. Although the year is called 70 AD there was
no year zero, if there had been a year zero it would have been year 69 AD
(coincidence?). Which by the way did you know there is no ancient Hebrew word
for coincidence? That is because with God there is no such thing.
In Daniel chapter nine you notice Gabriel describes to
Daniel that there will be seven weeks and sixty two weeks a total of sixty nine
weeks. Considering what I said previously is it possible this is a case of
inclusive time keeping? I know that most people adhere to the interpretation that
Daniel’s seventy weeks are a period of four hundred and ninety years but (I ask
these questions with respect to this conclusion): If Gabriel meant for the
seven weeks to be counted before the sixty two weeks then why wouldn’t he say:
and after sixty nine weeks the Messiah is cut off? Wouldn’t you think Gabriel
knows how to count (not meant to sound sarcastic really)? Why would Gabriel
tell Daniel about the seven weeks and then neglect to count them or explain
them? Does it make sense he would do that? Wasn’t he there to give Daniel
understanding?
Something else we must consider when thinking about Daniel’s
seventy weeks. Unlike the word “week” the word “weeks” is never and I repeat
never used as a period of years like the word week is in Genesis 29: 27-28. Eight
out of fifteen times the word weeks is used it is used in the context of the “Feasts
of Weeks” three times it is used is concerning a regular week. The other four
times it is used is in Daniel chapter nine and man says it means years. If God intended
for us to use the word weeks as a period of time that means years then doesn’t
it seem logical that He would have used it as such somewhere else in His word
as he did the word week? For example when He was talking about working the land
for forty nine years why didn’t He say you will keep seven weeks of years
instead of seven times seven years?
More patterns of God include the way He has done and will do
things and they are all according to His feasts days. The Israelites were kept
safe (delivered) from the hand of God by sacrificing a lamb and painting the
blood over the doorway when He killed the first born of Egypt.; this is called
Passover (the first of the feasts): Christ the Lamb was sacrificed on Passover
for our sins so that we may be delivered from the wrath of God at judgment.
Fifty days after the Israelites left Egypt they were given the Torah (law:
second feast): fifty days after Christ crucifixion we were given the Holy
Spirit. This is a clear case of God following a pattern and using His feasts
days as the appointed times to do so. When the Israelites were freed from
Babylon the first sacred occasion observed in Jerusalem was the feast of
Tabernacles (Ezra 3:2-4: third feast): when we are freed from Mystery Babylon
by Jesus, we to shall observe the feast of Tabernacles (Zech. 14:16-19).
Clearly from scripture the coming of Jesus is like unto a
harvest: we can see that in Matthew 13:30 and Revelation 14:15. Jeremiah made
this statement when considering his time as a captive in Babylon. Jer.5:24—Neither
say they in their heart, let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain,
both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the
appointed weeks of the harvest. Wouldn’t it be logical to think that when
Gabriel said weeks in Daniel nine he was referring to the “feasts of weeks”?
The whole point of what I have said is to say that God has a
particular time frame in mind for the last generation and it is a pattern of
the way he has done things before. And according to the way he has done things
before His time frame is seventy years. If that is true then the covenant has to
have already been confirmed and we are now waiting on the abomination of desolation. The covenant would have been confirmed in the sixty third
year since Israel was born and started the generation of the return of
Christ. We are that generation!
Mr. Lefebvre claims on his website that the film came to him in a vision and that he had no knowledge of the meanings of the symbolism that is in his animation. He says he is learning about it as he goes along YET the very name of his company is symbolic. He post two links to two other commentaries from other individuals on the page of his own commentary.

Unprecedented Events All Over the World 2011 - 2013
Revelation 6:8—And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
To my knowledge the video of the pale horse has never been proven to be a fake. It is a recording done from an actual news cast (Euronews) and too it was seen on an American news channel. It was recorded in Egypt just after the uprising started there. Notice the glowing fire balls that follow behind the horse and his rider.
Luke 21:25-26—And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken
Luke 21:28—And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
According to the seventy year generation the seven years concerning the last week of Daniel 9:27 should have begun in the Jewish year 5771 (2010-2011). The first thing on January 1, 2011 we woke up to dead birds and fish everywhere. These things are still happening at exponential rates along with fires; floods, earthquakes, loud noises in the air, Tsunamis, and as of late a meteor fell on Russia. Fidockave213 has made these terrific video’s documenting all these horrific events. For those of you who don’t think we are living in the tribulation period: think again!
