2 Timothy 4:3-5 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure affliction, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Ephesians 5:9-10 For the Fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Please don’t turn away from this truth!
The first thing we need to understand is that when Christ came he came for the whole of humanity and when he spoke he spoke to all Christians (followers of him). The Christians are grafted into the house of Israel by the new covenant: we are the seed of Abraham. This does not mean that Israel has been replaced it is more like his family has been made larger.
Rom. 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For also am I an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Hebrews 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Christians are called the children of God. When Christ came he died so that we could be joint heirs with him for eternity. It is the same as if you and your siblings were to inherit your parents assets: we as brothers and sisters to Christ along with him will inherit the kingdom of God: Our Father. You will see the promise of Christ coming and how we as the elect, the chosen, also named God’s servants will inherit with him.
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
It is claimed that the word elect in all references of the Bible is talking to the Jews (Israel) except for a few times it is said that the elect is Christ, the angels, and the elect lady John writes too in 2 John 1:13 and that at no time does it refer to the Christians: that is simply not true. It is a fact that Christ is called the elect and the angels are called the elect but it is also a fact that the Christians are called the elect: even in Matthew 24. I will prove this to you but you have to be willing to receive it.
Surprisingly the word elect is only used four times in three chapters of the Old Testament. These are three chapters in Isaiah: 42, 45, and 65. I would think that it must be used a lot in connection with Israel/ the twelve tribes since most everyone is convinced that it applies to the Jews: but it isn’t. The four times the word is used is in relation to the first coming of Christ as the mediator of the new covenant. God tells us about his plans to create this new covenant and the reason for it in those three chapters of Isaiah. It is critical that we all understand this important piece of knowledge. Christ shed his blood so that the New Testament could come into effect. To cause all who are called (Jew or Gentile) to receive the promise of eternal inheritance under the new covenant. In the new covenant (Christ) there is no respect of persons: there are no difference in Jews and Gentiles.
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Hebrews 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.
Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Gail,
Excellent article.
Most of the professing Church today believe that we are 'Not under law, but under grace'.
'The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ'. John 1.17. The law is complementary to grace, they go together! They are not against each other! We are ONLY saved by grace; Ephesians 2.8-9, ONLY by the blood of the Lamb, there is not ONE thing we can do to earn our salvation. The law is written on the believers hearts and minds; Hebrews 10.16. The law is the believer's 'way of life' NOT the 'way to life' THE CROSS IS THE WAY TO LIFE.
The Lord knows His people will stumble and fall and make many mistakes, but if 'we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins' 1 John 1.9. (Look how the Lords own little flock denied, deserted and misunderstood Him?)
Doesn't Hebrews 12.14 tell us that without holiness 'no man shall see the Lord'?
Do these false Dispensational teachers not read Matthew 5.17?
Men teach us (root of Dispensationalism) that Matthew 24.13 doesn't apply to the Church! Are these the ones that the Lord was warning His flock against just before in Matthew 24.11-12?
Truly the wheat and the tares are growing together.
God bless you
It must be said that many Churches and Seminaries don't realise that their whole system of theology has been heavily tainted by Dispensational teaching.
Thanks for the compliment on the article! And please bare with me I intend to reply to all your comments I'm just a little slow at it.

“The law is complementary to grace, they go together!”
I agree Colin, the law is complementary to grace and although it is true we are saved by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus and his sacrifice that doesn’t mean we can live a life of sin. If a person is truly saved that person wants to follow the law and will to their best ability.
“The Lord knows His people will stumble and fall and make many mistakes, but if 'we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins' 1 John 1.9. (Look how the Lords own little flock denied, deserted and misunderstood Him?)”
It is a shame Christians today are being taught that confession of sins is a one time affair and from then on they don’t need to concern their selves with acknowledging transgression. I don’t believe that way. I believe that confession of sins is an everyday affair. I believe that as soon as you realize you have done wrong you need to ask for forgiveness: offending God is the same (only worse) as offending a friend and you need to promptly ask for forgiveness! Thank God that because of Jesus I can know that I am forgiven and I can let guilt be swept under the rug and enjoy the promised peace in my heart and mind.
“Men teach us (root of Dispensationalism) that Matthew 24.13 doesn't apply to the Church! Are these the ones that the Lord was warning His flock against just before in Matthew 24.11-12?”
“Truly the wheat and the tares are growing together.”
It is disturbing that so many believe that Matthew 24:13 doesn’t apply to the church. I can’t understand how this statement or any other statement spoken of by Jesus could ever be said to be talking to anyone other than His followers. I mean who do people think Christ is talking to? Logic begs the question: why would He be talking to anyone other than Christians?
The more I study the more I believe that these teachers are in fact promoting what Jesus was warning us about in Matthew 24: 5 and 11. I believe verse 11 could refer to all the other false teachings too: Interfaithism etc., but I believe verse 5 is particularly talking about the pre-trib rapture. I didn’t understand exactly what He meant by verse 5 until a little while back. I wrote an article about it called “Jesus and Paul Warned Us Not to Be Deceived about the Second Coming.” I believe verse 5 as well as 2 Th 2 is predominantly talking about the pre-trib rapture.
Truly the wheat and tares are growing together and the separation is short to come to pass!
“Churches and Seminaries don’t realize that their whole system of theology has been heavily tainted by Dispensational teaching.”
To this I have to agree also. I don’t think they know either. The reason why most of them use this teaching is because they study man’s words more than they study God’s word. I have heard a couple of well known teachers say that the reason they can be so sure the pre-trib is correct is because they have thousands of books in their library that tells them so (my words same meaning). In the last few years I have learned so much by using my just my Bible, Strong’s concordance, and history web sites. I come to my own conclusion with the help of the Holy Spirit and then I look for validation not the other way around.
